Winners for the 33rd annual Kailua-Kona Community Christmas Parade were announced this week. Winners can pick up their certificates at the Civic Center Administration Office Building C second floor on Monday.

Dinners to benefit veterans

The Kona Elks lodge will be hosting a dinner every third Thursday starting in January in an effort to raise money to provide home kits and provide donations for veterans housing.

The dinners will be $25 a person and free for veterans with a V.A. card. Dinners will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling 443-7251.

People can call if they’d like to help out in a different way, volunteers welcome. Help make a difference for the men and women who have served our country and have now fallen on hard times.
